What I've been Up to Now
I've been working a great deal on wire wrapped jewelry using both natural stones and glass and crystal beads, silk painted garments, and acrylic and oil paintings.
I'm proud to announce that several of my peices are currently being displayed at "Garden of The Dragonfly" art gallery and studio in Old Town Spring.

About Myself
I have been studying and experimenting with creating my own skin care products for approximately fifteen years. My grandmother, who was a very beautiful woman, used to make her own soaps and creams of all natural ingredients. Everyone who met her commented on her beauty and youthfulness. I took an interest in her hobby and listened to her when she talked to me about the goodness in the ingredients she used. I have taken her interest and gone further to include the aromatherapy and healing properties of essential oils, and I refined my recipes until I began to receive a very professional result. (I still use her lipbalm recipe!)
Now I am excited to introduce my other hobby into my small business. Ever since I was a little girl I've had an interest in collecting beautiful stones. I actually remember how I used to pick the prettiest and most sparkly stones out of my driveway to try and sell them on 16th street in Calgary. I did actually sell one, to the local paper boy. A "pity sale" I'm sure! My dad and my sister both shared this interest and whenever we went camping in the Rocky Mountains our faces were not necessarily turned up towards the beautiful view, but our noses turned to the ground, looking for beautiful stones in the clear river water. My mom used to tease us that there was no way we'd ever be able to pull our trailer through the mountains with that extra weight in the back! As an adult, while hiking through the Rockies I'd often pick up favorites, then my dear friends would help me carry the extra load in their back packs. Some of those stones are in my garden here in Houston.
Jewelry making of course, stemmed as a natural interest out of our rock collecting. My Grandpa had given me a little bracelet made of silver hearts, my sister had one of the same in gold. Dad bought a rock polisher and set it up to put a nice shine on all those rocks we collected on our trip through the mountains every year. He then glued some of the prettiest stones onto the hearts. I still have mine in my favorite jewelry box that my Grandmother made, and intend to pass it on to my daughter one day. (Kath, do you have yours?)
Through the years my interest evolved from simple pretty rocks by the river, to actual gemstones. I collected as many types as I could find and read up on all their "properties". Thanks to a dear friend here in Houston who is well known for her artistry, my interest in creating jewelry has blossomed. I hope you all like the results!
I can think of no better way to marry my two favorite interests, herbs and stones both contribute to adorn our bodies, making us feel beautiful and pampered.
Testimonials
Heather Kaminski not only has expert knowledge, in making botanical beauty products, but creams with wonderful healing powers.
One of my hands had an ugly raw patch of eczema, owing to a family history of acute dermatitis, winter, and scratching increased by stress. On opening Heather's jar of "Calendula Cream", I saw a wonderfully rich preparation, with a clean slightly medicinal smell. Massaging the cream into my hand, felt not only cool, but immediately relieving of pain and discomfort. After a week of use, my hand showed vast imporvement. The continual use of the cream, and the end of Winter, brought a thankful end to my eczema.
"Calendula Cream" not only cured my dermatitis, but saved me money on co-pay to the doctor's office, avoided the use of dangerous cortizones, and other expensive chemicals. Not only are Heather's products unbelievingly sweet smelling, but highly successful.

Dear Domestic Goddess,
I want to let you know how much I love your Domestic Goddess Products. I have used several items and will be buying more in the future. The smell is wonderful of course, but I especially love all the wholesome ingredients that you use as I do not want to use toxic substances on my skin or anywhere else.
I love the lip balms. They are so creamy and healing. My daughter had severe chapped lips that went over the top and under the bottom of her lips to the skin area that she was continually licking; I used the balm overnight as her lips looked like they were ready to crack and bleed. By morning, all the redness had gone and her skin was supple and healing. Truly wonderful!
The Silke Smooth bath salts are a divine delight. My skin feels so soft and conditioned after using it and this effect lasts for many days.
The hand and body lotions are very creamy but not greasy. I love this and the fact that the scent, for me, lingers on my hands even after washing them.
I have ordered some lavender bubble bath and I know that my children and I will love it. I believe that your products are a much better and healthy alternatives to commercial products which are filled with many toxic chemicals even though they state natual on the label.
thanks for creating such wonderful and useful items with care and love. I believe this energy enhances each and every product that is produced.
Warmly,

"Miracle Grains Facial Scrub and Mask:" I enjoy using this product as a combo: both as a mask and scrub. I like to let it sit until dry, then dampen it and use it as a srub. I find that this product works great to absorb and remove impurities. Great!

Every year in the winter I get a bad rash on the ring finger and little finger of my left hand. The rash may be eczema, ultra-dry skin, or soemthing else. I have never had the condition officially diagnosed. It frequently flares up in the winter months, or when I have found some relief using a combination of prescription eczema creams (prescribed for my son) (both steroid and non-steroid) and special hand creams, such as Aquaphor. These offered some relief from the symptoms, but did not always heal the rash.
One day that my rash was particularly dry and itchy, I tried using the "Calandula Cream" Within minutes I felt releif from the intense itching and my skin felt soothed and in days the eczema / rash was nearly gone and the cracks in my skin healed. If the area flared up a bit, I would re-apply the cream. The cream healed the flare - up and prevented the spread of the rash / eczema. I have been delighted with this product and would recommend it to anyone who suffers from eczema or extremely dry skin. I will be sure to have plenty on hand for fall/winter 2004!
Calendula Cream truly soothes and heals!
